Outside Resources

Yale does not award merit-based scholarships, but many Yale students are recognized for their achievements by outside organizations. We encourage students to pursue outside merit-based awards, which can significantly reduce or eliminate the Student Share.

Yale does not endorse any private scholarship search sites. Some Yale students have successfully used the sites below in recent years.

Before beginning your search, review the Federal Student Aid website for information on avoiding financial aid scams.

Enrollment Verification for Scholarship Agencies

Some scholarship agencies require verification that you are enrolled at Yale before they will release your award funds. Agency representatives can usually verify enrollment by checking the National Student Clearinghouse website. Questions about enrollment verification may be directed to the University Registrar’s Office.
