Important Announcements:

What's New with  FAFSA:

For the 2024-2025 school year, the FAFSA opened later than usual.   This will have no negative effect on our financial aid process and decision release.

The 2024-2025 FAFSA, online or as a mobile app, is now available for submission.  To ensure we receive your completed FAFSA, remember to include Yale's Federal School Code, 001426.  Please note, our office will be unable to confirm receipt of your FAFSA before the end of April, per the Department of Education.

We encourage you to create an FSA ID now, so that you can access the FAFSA once it is available.

CSS Profile Fee Waiver Requests:

For the upcoming 2024-25 academic year, the College Board opens the CSS Profile application October 1st,  2023 and Yale’s CSS Profile fee waiver process will begin in late September.  Please note that we will not consider requests until that time.

Please also note that the College Board offers fee waivers for U.S. applicants from families making up to $100,000 a year.  To see if you are eligible see CSS Profile’s Information on fee waivers.

See what Yale's financial aid means for your family

Yale awards all undergraduate financial aid on the basis of financial need, with the goal of making a Yale education affordable for everyone. The resources on this site and the staff at the Office of Undergraduate Financial Aid can help you turn your dream of a Yale education into a reality.

Yale offers two tools for estimating what a Yale undergraduate education would cost after accounting for financial aid. The Quick Cost Estimator provides a ballpark estimate based on six simple questions. The Net Price Calculator provides a more detailed estimate, using more information about your family's finances.
